“Close my eyes, embrace my matter.

Swing my hips as if they bear the rings of Mama Saturn.”

Independent artist Tanerélle graced our presence at her show at The Independent in San Francisco last Friday night, the second to last stop on her Electric Honey Tour. After debuting with her futuristic single “Siren” in 2015 with no record label, the ethereal artist has taken off, making waves in R&B, pop, soul and electronic genres. The energy was felt throughout the venue with the audience fully engaged and encapsulated by Tanerélle’s incredible stage presence and stunning vocals. Even though the stage was lit with lights synced to each track, all eyes were on her as she performed her top tracks and more, even singing an acapella rendition of “Mama Saturn” and throwing in some cover songs, most notably Sade’s “No Ordinary Love.”

Although she did return to the stage for an encore, Tanerélle still left us all wanting more. If you haven’t already, check out her music on streaming platforms and pre-save her upcoming drop “Electric Honey (Encore).”
