How The Prelude Network Is Impacting Young Entrepreneurs In The Bay Area & D.C.

HC: Give us a a brief history and mission of the Prelude Network.

TPN: The community for community builders!

Our journey began at the end of 2023, during a casual FaceTime chat among friends, where we pondered our post-grad lives. As we shared stories about recent social outings, we noticed a significant gap in our experiences. Too often, our options boiled down to the crowded atmosphere of clubs or the more formal vibe of professional happy hours. But what if you’re seeking something relaxed yet intentional, without the corporate feel?

As we scoured social media and event calendars, we discovered a wealth of niche groups offering unique experiences designed to foster genuine connections. However, we also noticed a lack of collaboration and synergy among these groups.

Motivated by this realization, we set out to create an organization that adds value to our community. Thus, The Prelude Network was born—a collective dedicated to serving community builders by helping them foster meaningful relationships, drive tangible impact, and create unique experiences for their respective audiences. We do this by crafting a central hub for community builders to connect, removing barriers to impact through resource allocation, and garnerning sponsorships to help leaders amplify their missions. Right now the Prelude currently has 10 organizations across the Bay area and D.C!

HC: What are some highlights of your recent community initiatives and events?

TPN: We hold monthly meetings (bi-monthly in-person meetings) with our community leaders to foster collaboration and support. Not only do we actively promote their events by resharing them on our platforms, but we also attend their events to show our support and help source sponsorships that enhance their initiatives.

In addition, we’ve launched a new series called “PreViews.” In this series, we venture out into the community to participate in local events, sharing our experiences and raising awareness for these organizations on our social media channels. This initiative helps shine a spotlight on the amazing happenings in our area, allowing more people to discover and engage with the vibrant community around them.
