Deathtoheartbreaks Wants You to Redefine Your Style—And Your Mindset.

Deathtoheartbreaks is a clothing brand based in Atlanta, Georgia, making big waves in the Bay Area. Since 2014, they've been pushing boundaries by designing clothing and accessories that turn the normal into something new. Their motto: "Sync Different." When I visited a Deathtoheartbreaks pop-up, I observed an ambiance of what I deemed "avant-garde nostalgia." That might make absolutely no sense, but let me explain. It felt like a place that I visited before, but re-vamped, re-designed, and extremely unique.
This brand is composed of two members: Eli and Isiah McClinton. They're brothers, both passionate about their craft and the uplifting of other artists in their community. Together, they are founders and members of a collective that gives other artists an outlet for sharing, uplifting, and selling their art. As creatives, Deathtoheartbreaks wanted to create a space to network, share ideas, inspire others, and take inspiration from their peers. People have seen the value in them, and they see the value in their peers. Why not perpetuate that cycle? This is where iNSYNC comes in.
iNSYNC is an app created by Eli and Isiah McClinton, alongside Coup and Nonso. It serves as a platform for creatives where "everyone is genuine, no funny business." Now, please don't go on this app and cause chaos; keep it sacred. I've been using iNSYNC for the last few weeks, and I've found myself shifting my screen time to this app. In the iNSYNC community, you can hear about the Scenius Art Markets in the Bay. This is an event where creatives network, barter, trade, and exchange inspiration. This circle they have created has birthed a new type of market – a new form of currency: being genuine. "Uplifting others can contribute to your own success." Deathtoheartbreaks wants to see everyone succeed.
Scrolling through iNSYNC, I found it to be more of a guilt-free social media. Similar to Pinterest, it is more of an underground platform that encourages you to be intentional about your posts and to be authentic. This platform is also used by creatives who want to reach a niche part of their fan base. Some things just aren't meant for Instagram. As someone just looking to share what you love to do, I find this app to be the best place to do that. "We've known people for years and are just finding out that they paint. They just finally had the platform to put it out there".
When shopping from Deathtoheartbreaks, you can expect to find unique denim pieces, jackets, and much more. While they haven't released them yet, their three-billed ball caps are set to drop soon—and trust me, they're something special. I'll be grabbing one myself as soon as they're available. When you wear Deathtoheartbreaks, it's not just about clothing—it's about self-expression. Their pieces let you explore your own style, helping you feel confident, cool, and, most importantly, different.
You can shop Deathtoheartbreaks on their website deathtoheartbreaks.com, and you can follow them on Instagram @deathtoheartbreaks. The iNSYNC app is available on the App Store and Google Play and their Instagram is @join.insync. The next Scenius Art Market is this month in December, and you can learn more about the exact date from their Instagram @scenius.labs.
